Kodak Capture Software is an easy-to-install, easy-to-use production scanning application for electronic capture of documents from KODAK Scanners. It's an ideal front-end capture application for enterprise content management (ECM) and business process management applications. Capture Software is also ideal for imaging, forms processing and workflow application, and as a stand-alone application. It manages scanning, indexing, and batching - simplex and duplex, color, bitonal, and grayscale*. Batches can be easily exported to many popular applications, such as scan-to-web, online storage, or archival storage with KODAK i9600 Series Writers, CD authoring** or any ECM applications, complete with associated index data. Simply put, Capture Software allows you to fully utilize your KODAK Scanner's capabilities for maximum productivity.
HIGH-SPEED MULTI-IMAGE VIEWER.
Capture Software's multi-image display lets you visualize a multi-page document and verify image quality during scanning. With it, you can see up to eight images at a time. Or use the fast image-fit mode for dynamic zooming and show every image as large as possible in each window. Capture Software's icon-based toolbar, context-sensitive menus, and online tool tips reduce the need for training and memorization.
DRAMATICALLY REDUCE PRESORTING.
Simultaneous bitonal and color scanning lets you capture more visual information and virtually eliminates the need to separate documents before scanning. With Auto Blank Image Deletion, there's no need to presort batches into single-and double-sided originals.
QUALITY IMAGES WITH MINIMAL OR NO ADUJSTMENTS.
On-the-fly Deskew and Autocropping features let you eliminate black borders around bitonal or color mixed-size originals at the full rated speed of your scanner - without changing any scanning parameters. And on select KODAK Scanners, Capture Software supports Kodak's exclusive Perfect Page Scanning, now with iThresholding, for image enhancements that happen more automatically than ever.
MULTIPLE TOOLS FOR MAXIUM PRODUCTIVITY.
An array of image manipulation and editing tools makes it easy to rescan, rotate, reorder and delete pages. Auto Rotation (90° , 180° , 270°) supports landscape scanning, even on color scans, to maximize scanner throughput. What's more, the Merge Front and Read feature** combines both sides of a page into a single image and makes it immediately visible on the screen. The Split Front and Read feature** divides very long documents into smaller images, either two per side (total of four) or three per side (total of six), to simplify OCR processing of forms. So, for example, you can automatically covert one A3 page into two A4 pages.

Versions
Capture Software Lite is a special version of Capture Software that is shipped with all units of the Kodak i50, i60, i80, and i200 Series Scanners. This production version is sufficient to be used as a departmental scanning application. It allows scanning, viewing, and storing of images in standard batch output formats (Single-Page TIFF, Multi-page TIFF, and Multiple Batch Output Formats). In addition, all features of the i50, i60, i80, and i200 series Scanners are supported. No hardware key is required.

A full featured version can be purchased through a Reseller of Kodak Document Imaging Products. For a full featured production scanning application, upgrade to the full production scanning application, Capture Software to receive the following additional features and functionality:
- Software bar code and batch code reading
- OCR Indexing
- Full indexing of up to 10 index fields from bar codes, OCR zones or key data entry (only one index field is available in Lite mode)
- Blank Page Separation
- Automatic Batch and Document Separation

- Segmentation of images for dithering or threshold
- Indexing station capability for stand-alone batch indexing
